The wait is nearly over. Our courts at Elliot Park have been out of action since April while the City of Wanneroo delivers the Elliot Park Court Renewal Project, and the site now finally looks like a tennis complex again.
Where the project is up to
The latest advice from the City of Wanneroo is that practical completion is anticipated by the end of October, with the club expected to regain access to the courts in early November. That’s later than we had originally hoped, but the progress on site over recent weeks has been encouraging:
- Court foundations, surrounding pathways and perimeter infrastructure are substantially complete.
- Fencing posts are in and the court surfaces are well advanced.
- The court areas are clearly taking shape – you can now picture how impressive the finished facility is going to look.

What we’re getting
When the fences come down we’ll be playing on 10 completely renewed courts with brand-new synthetic grass, new nets and custom court lighting – a significantly improved facility for many years to come.
In the meantime
Social tennis, junior programs and other club activities continue under our temporary arrangements at Kingsley Tennis Club, Ocean Ridge Tennis Club and the Wanneroo Showgrounds. A huge thank-you to those venues for their ongoing support throughout the redevelopment – and to our members for their patience.
Members: session availability is managed through the club’s TeamReach group (members only – contact a committee member if you need the details).
We’ll keep everyone informed as soon as we receive further updates from the City of Wanneroo. Keep an eye on our Facebook page for video updates from the site.
